I have spent over a decade in various positions of professionally caring for children of all ages and many neurotypes and abilities. The preciousness, brilliance, and strength of all children never ceases to awe me. And I also know that we don’t simply get over or grow out of the harms that are done to us at a young age. Without the proper resources to heal, the survival strategies that were crucial at one age may begin to cause us further pain as we leave those situations behind.
As a parent and former childcare professional I have a keen desire to help the wounded inner child(/ren) that exists in so many of our hearts. To this work I bring to bear the many insights of Attachment Theory and the compassionate practices of Internal Family Systems. We will build an understanding of how these hurts occured and what you may need to heal.
